At Whispering Pines Church, our women gather regularly for times of encouragement, teaching, and fun. Once per month, we offer a women’s breakfast, with focused biblical teaching from one of our own godly women on issues such as grace, faith, or relationships. Encouragement is a core value for our women. Each year as well, our “Secret Sisters” strategy affords women the chance to reach out to another woman with care and support. Periodically, Real Love through encouragement shows through women’s hikes, boating, or other ventures for quality relationship-building. In addition, we offer smaller group women’s studies periodically and the Mountain Mama’s ministry for the broader community.
Women’s Upcoming Mini Retreats at the Smethills’ Cabin: There is a signup sheet in the foyer of the church for the following dates. See which one would fit your summer schedule and sign up for one! The theme is “Going Deeper”, and there is room for 7 or 8 women per session. They will begin Friday evening about 5:30…with a 6PM potluck spaghetti dinner, then some fun time with games, a teaching time, etc. Breakfast in the morning, prayer time, part 2 to the teaching, and we will be done late-morning—definitely before lunch. It will be a wonderful opportunity to make new meaningful connections with other women, and to enrich our faith and go deeper with our Lord. We still have a couple of spaces open for each session including the first one in June, which is only a week & a half away. Please call the church or sign up on Sunday.
