MISSIONS IS REAL LOVE WITH SHOES ON!

Missions at Whispering Pines is an overflow of what we strive to exemplify in all we do—the genuine love of Jesus Christ. Such love necessarily contains both loving action and truthful words. Therefore, we strive to support agencies and efforts that convey real love through both the verbal proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the meeting of physical needs. Practically, we strive to pray, to give financial support, and to send our own people to promote such efforts locally, nationally, and globally. In this way, we not only express real love, but equip our people in the vision and practical skills necessary for loving the way Christ loves.

CURRENT MISSIONS/MISSIONARIES SUPPORTED With Proposed Changes:

o      Dale and Sandy Mayfield— United Field Missions, Equador

o      Kevin and Trina Mayfield, Equador

o      Bob and Harriet Foster—Formerly Berean Missions, now unaffiliated, New Mexico Ministry to Native Americans.

o      Ylene Umahoza—Compassion International, Child in Rwanda.

o      Harry and Patty Larson--IDEAS International. Training and Equipping of Missionaries, as well as outreach to university professors in Kazakhstan.

o      Alternatives Pregnancy Center. Support, Counsel, and Resources to Expectant Mothers in Crisis.

o      Leslie Downie—Child Evangelism Fellowship, Inner-City Chicago. Ministry to children in Hispanic neighborhood of inner-city Chicago.

o      Dwayne and Aimee Dokes—U.R.B.A.N. Ministries, Five Points area of Denver, ministry to children and families.

o      Scott Brookins—Scott Brookins Ministries, ministry of music and evangelism to Eastern Europe.
